  • Planning Application PF/20/0316

    Though Hoveton Village Hall is currently closed to the public (the Hall is being used by North Norfolk District Council as a Local Coordination Centre, providing assistance to the local community during the Coronavirus pandemic), the Hall’s future plans are moving forward. Hoveton Parish Council has now received the following planning application:

    Proposal: Change of use of Bowls Club kitchen (D2:Assembly and Leisure) to a Community Cafe (A3:Restaurants and Cafes) including installation of community fridge and erection of 2no. detached sheds (Men’s Shed and Youth Club Shed).

    This change of use application, if approved, will see the old Bowls Club facilities at the Village Hall become a Community Cafe, with a Community Fridge on site. Funds raised from the Community Cafe will be put toward further improvements at the Village Hall. It is hoped this project, plus the addition of a Men’s Shed and a Youth Club Shed, will offer new and fun ways for local residents of all ages to become more involved with their local community.

    Proposal: Construction of a single storey rear extension with flat and lantern roof; replacement of roof tiles in anthracite grey/black pantiles to main dwelling; installation of new windows and doors to main dwelling; re-rendering of main dwelling.

    Thank you again to the many residents who took the time to attend last month’s public meeting regarding the proposed development of Brook Park, Phase II by Persimmon. A summary of this meeting can now be downloaded below.

    Hoveton Parish Council submitted the above meeting summary to North Norfolk District Council on 8th April along with its consultation response to application PF/19/1659. The Parish Council has strongly objected to this application and a copy of the full consultation response can be downloaded below.
