• WW1 Exhibition at Hoveton Village Hall

Hoveton Parish Council would like to once again thank Wroxham & Hoveton Lions Club for its kind and generous purchase of a WW1 commemorative ‘Tommy’ silhouette for our village. Hoveton’s Tommy can now be visited on Granary Staithe, where he’s expected to remain until the end of December.

Our grateful thanks also go to local resident Jim Cobb, who is putting on an exhibition of photographs from World War One in Hoveton Village Hall over the Remembrance Day weekend. The exhibition will be open to the public on 10th and 11th November from 10am to 5pm and all of the photos will be available for purchase at the end of the exhibition for just £5 each.

  • Meet Norfolk County Council’s Leader

Local residents may be interested to learn that Norfolk County Council’s Leader, Cllr Andrew Proctor, will be holding an informal ‘meet and greet’ event at The Wroxham Hotel, Hoveton, on Tuesday 13th November from 7pm to 8.30pm. This is the first in a series of events designed to allow people to put questions to the County Council’s leadership team and to find out more about Norfolk County Council’s vision for the future. Members of Hoveton Parish Council will be attending this event, but residents are welcome to join us. Register to attend.
