• Planning Application PF/20/0316

Though Hoveton Village Hall is currently closed to the public (the Hall is being used by North Norfolk District Council as a Local Coordination Centre, providing assistance to the local community during the Coronavirus pandemic), the Hall’s future plans are moving forward. Hoveton Parish Council has now received the following planning application:

    Application PF/20/0316
Proposal: Change of use of Bowls Club kitchen (D2:Assembly and Leisure) to a Community Cafe (A3:Restaurants and Cafes) including installation of community fridge and erection of 2no. detached sheds (Men’s Shed and Youth Club Shed).
Address: Hoveton Village Hall, Stalham Road, Hoveton
Further Details: North Norfolk District Council
    Consultation Deadline: 6th May 2020

This change of use application, if approved, will see the old Bowls Club facilities at the Village Hall become a Community Cafe, with a Community Fridge on site. Funds raised from the Community Cafe will be put toward further improvements at the Village Hall. It is hoped this project, plus the addition of a Men’s Shed and a Youth Club Shed, will offer new and fun ways for local residents of all ages to become more involved with their local community.

  • Hoveton Village Hall Closure

Following the latest Government advice concerning the Coronavirus pandemic, the Hoveton Village Hall Management Committee has taken the difficult decision to close Hoveton Village Hall in order to protect the health and wellbeing of all employees, volunteers, and visitors to the Village Hall.

This closure will take effect immediately until further notice. It is hoped it will be possible for the Village Hall to re-open as of Saturday 20th June 2020. However, this date is only provisional and may change in accordance with the latest Government guidelines.

Please note that the Blood Transfusion Service will still be visiting the Village Hall on Friday 27th March, so if you have an appointment booked for this session, please attend as normal to help keep this vital service well stocked. The Blood Transfusion Service may attend extra dates at Hoveton Village Hall over the coming months, so please like and follow the Hoveton Village Hall & Park Facebook page for further updates.
