RAF Benevolent Fund

Hoveton Parish Council was recently contacted by the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, a leading welfare charity for those serving and those who have served in the RAF, as well as their families. The RAF Benevolent Fund provides a range of support, from financial assistance and independent living help to emotional and mental wellbeing support. In addition, they recently launched a new Community Engagement Worker scheme to tackle social isolation and loneliness amongst the RAF family across Norfolk by helping older RAF veterans get involved in their local communities.

The RAF Benevolent Fund estimates that one in three people in Norfolk knows someone who has served or is serving in the Royal Air Force and they would like the help of local people with reaching out to these individuals and making them aware of the support available. If you know any RAF veterans who may benefit from the support of the RAF Benevolent Fund, please call 0300 102 1919 or visit www.rafbf.org.
